Halloween

The Boys! Don't they look so excited? Ryder, Kyler,
Keaton (Angie's boys) and PJ (Angie's nephew)

I look retarded by I was a witch

I got him a cute little skeleton bag from Pottery Barn with his name on it.
He has been in love with it for weeks.

For halloween Ryder was the cutest little zebra. He didn't so much enjoy the holiday. All day long I tried to get him to take a nap with no sucess. So when it was time to dress up and go out he was so dang tired and ornery. We got a few pictures, then decided to go out to my great grandma's and before we even made it a block he was out. So no trick or treating for Rydie.
We also had a little get together at my friend Angie's house. We had soup bowls and played games. It was fun!

My house

Before

After

So ever since we bought this house I have wanted to get the ugly thing painted and we finally got it done. I know that we really need to do some landscaping. You would think that since my husband did that for a living this summer I would have a
nice looking yard, but maybe next year. It just nice to have the house painted
at least. It was funny when people would come in the house for the first time.
They were all shocked at the way it looked on the inside compared to the outside.
Well its not perfect, but slowly getting better.

White Coat and Horses

Jake showing off the white coat
Ryder giving a cheeser smile. He loves his uncle Jake

If you didn't know Jake was accepted into Pharmacy school. It is a 3 year program. He is also in the MBA program, so in 3 years he will have his PhD and his MBA. To start the 3 year journey of Pharmacy school they have a White Coat Ceremony. My mom, Ryder and I went up to watch Jake get his White Coat and become official. It was a neat little ceremony. We are so proud of Jake!

Jarrett, Shayla and sleeping Ryder

Jodi and Chris

A couple of weeks ago, Jarrett and I decided to go on a horse ride. So we invited Jarrett's sister Jodi and her husband Chris and Jarrett's friend Kent and his wife BoWynn. It was really nice. Jarrett was riding a colt so Ryder rode with me. We went about 11 miles and Ryder was so good he loved every minute of it, but about 20 minutes before we made it back to the trailer he fell to sleep. It made it a little tricky trying to ride with a sleeping baby but we made it. It was a nice little family outing!

Girls Camp and George

Bad picture of George! But he is so dang cute!

Jarrett and I went to see in concert the man I have the biggest crush on George Strait. I have loved him pretty much since birth. We missed the 2 opening acts, but George made up for it

My dad hiked the Nipple with us. I was very impressed for
being an old man he
was a regular ol' mountian goat!

I was in charge of Girls Camp this year. We spent 2 nights at 12 mile flats. It was so much fun. I went with a great group of girls. For our hike we climbed the Nipple. None of the leaders or girls had ever hiked it and I think that everyone needs to do it at least once. The girls thought that it was awesome! We also went caynoing, played steal the flag, did crafts, went to the swing and had a testimony meeting with a speaker. It was a great couple of days!

Clark Bown came up and spent the night. He brought up with him a dead rattle snake that he had froze all coiled up. Mellissa Judy and I were the last out of bed one morning so he stuck it right out side our tent. It was the first thing I saw when I unzipped the tent. It freaked me out so bad, I swore as loud as I possibly could. I was so pissed I hate snakes!

Green Paint!

A couple of weeks ago Ryder had been out of control all day and I had had it! I sat down to fold clothes and at that point I really didn't care what Ryder was doing. It was really quiet for a long time, then I could hear Ryde falling down and it sounded like he was slipping. This is what I saw when I turned the corner. I about died! Luckily it came off the floor really well. His onesie went in the garbage and the baseboards will have to be painted. Oh what a kid I have!

Ryder's 1st B-Day

Ryde going to town on his cake. He was a mess!
My attempt at a pig cake

Ryde and his cow pinata
For Ryder's big day we had a fun little party with some of our family and friends. We got together for a barnyard themed BBQ. It was so fun. Ryder is obsessed with barnyard animals. So we had a cow pinata which he loved. He kept mooing at it. We had cow pattern balloons, and I attempted to make a pig cake. It was great weather and it was a perfect day to celebrate Ryder. He got tons of presents (thanks everyone) and loved all the attention. I can't believe that my baby is 1. He acts like such a big boy. Love you little boy!

Grandpa's 80th

Ryder and his great-grandpa Chuck
My cute little fam at grandpa's dinner

My Grandpa Chuck turned 80 the end of April. So all my mom's family got together and had a celebration for him and the great influence he is in our life. My mom gathered a ton of pictures of his life and mad a book out of them. It was really fun to see him as a little boy and read some of the stories of his life. It was a fun weekend. Ryder also got a big boy car seat, and loves it. When we first put him in it, he just laughed and laughed.
